Dr. Paul Fares Boulos is a President and Director of MWH Global, one of the world’s leading environmental engineering firms, with more than 7,000 employees in 35 countries and with annual revenues exceeding $1.3 billion. The Company has long been considered one of the world’s top three experts on power, water and wastewater issues. He is currently serving as President, COO and Director of MWH Soft, a multi-million engineering software company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of MWH Global. MWH Soft maintains leading positions in the North American water and wastewater industries with some 70 percent of the largest US cities running on MWH Soft software, and a geographical footprint spanning over 40 countries on five continents. During his nine-year tenure in this role, MWH Soft has experienced impressive growth and returns, with net revenues increasing tenfold and operating income by a factor of 31, while earning a reputation for outstanding customer consideration and service.

Dr. Boulos is a leading authority in water resources engineering, has won numerous industry honors, including technical awards from the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and has authored over 100 technical articles and nine authoritative books on water and wastewater engineering. His pioneering water quality modeling technology is now an industry standard worldwide. He was awarded this year Honorary Diplomate (Hon.D.WRE) status by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE), becoming one of only sixteen engineering professionals worldwide ever to receive AAWRE’s highest honor.

Dr. Boulos currently serves as Chairman of the Board of International Advisors and is an Ex-Officio Trustee of the Lebanese American University. He also is a Director of AMIDEAST and the National Association of GIS-Centric Software, and a member of the Arab-American National Museum National Advisory Board. He also served on the External Advisory Board of the Civil and Environmental Engineering School of the American University of Beirut, as well as on many technical advisory committees including for the US EPA Science Advisory Board, the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council, and the American Water Works Association Research Foundation. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1963, has a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
